Just 9 days until pitchers and catchers is just what I needed to hear this morning to take my mind off the “Game that must not be named”.
At points last night as I was watching Tom Brady’s arm get twisted backwards like a rag doll, I noted to my son that the game was looking pretty bad. I think it’s downright hilarious when a child tries to get into the spirit of the moment. I tried to hold back the annoyed emotions of the game (I couldn’t) and I tried to understand his line of questioning (I couldn’t). So, lesson learned: I need to watch the “Game that must not be named” in a box without any outside intervention. I get too pumped up. Same thing with the World Series.
The next time the Patriots (or Chargers) are “Game that must not be named”, I’ll take a deep breath and prepare for a night of bad offensive line work and hurries and drop backs and dumps.
By the way, does anyone actually watch the ProBowl?
